Say my name, Say my name...

“What is in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”   –William Shakespeare
“Hey Nikk. Love Utilization? How you come up with that?”

I really wish I had  something cleverly to tell you, that would make you think that I am smarter than the average bear. But. I don’t.  By trade, life and experience I am a Creative Marketer. I love to create. I love to market. I am always thinking of a creative way to market a brand, product or person. So when I decide to think of a name for my personal DIY/Design blog, I wanted something fresh. Something that would always be remembered , easy for you to find in the search engine and stuck to who I am, and what it is that I am trying to do. I have long term dreams, goals and aspirations with Love Utilization. I mean, you don’t even know.
I wanted all of this and more for creating the perfect blog name, and none of that happened. There wasn't an “AHH HAA” moment, an angel singing. Nothing. The truth is. I was having a glass if wine and looking at other people’s blogs (O.P.B.) Some of my manfriend's work papers were on the desk and the word, utilization spoke to me. I liked it. I wanted to use it, but I needed to make it work. Then I thought. What is something that gets used over and over in this house. Love. So. There you have it. Ain't no more to it.

...and then Nikk, created a blog. And it was good. Maybe?

“Ideas won’t keep; something must be done about them.” –Alfred North Whitehead
All day. I could literally watch HGTV, All. Day. Long. And I’ve lost count on the number of other people's blogs (O.P.B.) I go to during the week to see what new and exciting thing they are doing with their homes, or what is the number one pinned item this month. (Okay. So. I don’t know if that is a real thing, but if it isn't, Hey Pinterest, let’s talk.) But, I've always wanted t o have a DIY/Interior Design/Craft like blog. Moving back in with my boyfriend and doing a total re-do on this bachelor pad house that we call home presented the prefect opportunity to make that desire that was a dream become real.

So, here it is. Love Utilization. Oh, and I’m Nik. A 30 year old mother that lives with her Ironman obsessed 9 year old son, and a manfriend who is as equally obsessed.
